Apparently, during his really leftist anti-Vietnam war days, John Kerry attended a meeting of an anti-war group that discussed assassinating pro-war US Senators.
The fact that he attended the meeting has been tacitly admitted by the Kerry campaign.
Even if Kerry didn't outwardly support the group, he is still culpable. His responsibility was to report the group to the authorities. He didn't do anything of the sort.
I can't think of anything this damaging to any candidate in modern electoral history.
And of course, the American Media has totally buried the story, with a small mention in the New York times, and nothing else. More evidence that they cannot be trusted, even with the most critical matters.
I wasn't going to write anything about this, but I am so mad that I can't help it.
First, to the soldiers who committed these depraved acts and had the utter stupidity to take pictures, I have to ask you; How many people are going to die for this?
You have pissed off probably the most fanatical people in the world. I suspect they are going to want to take revenge - although there is the question of how much revenge they can manage to exact, since they have a long list of things they feel they have to avenge. Still, this episode aggravates an already aggravated situation in Iraq and the rest of the Arab world. Soldiers, you have driven more people into the service of our enemy. Congratulations, assholes.
Now, to CBS News, I have some questions. Actually, they are exactly the same questions I asked above. This little scoop is going to cost lives. Are you prepared to accept responsibility for this? Of course you aren't. The media never accepts responsibility for the damage they cause.
Did these pictures really need to be released? Considering that people are probably going to die as a result, is it worth it? Did you get enough of a ratings boost to pay for the lives that will be taken?
Elton John, gay singer and songwriter, has decried American Idol's process for selecting winners as "incredibly racist."
Elton says: "The three people I was really impressed with — and they just happened to be black, young female singers — all seem to be landing in the bottom three."
“They have great voices. The fact that they’re constantly in the bottom three — and I don’t want to set myself up here — but I find it incredibly racist.”
Elton, I don't want to set myself up here, but I find you incredibly stupid.
This is race-baiting at its most idiotic, and arrogant. Since Elton thinks these three are the greatest singers, then they must be the greatest singers! Elton knows which singers are good, by God, and anyone who disagrees with him is a racist!
I personally find every single winner of the American Idol competitions to be boring, insipid and derivative. In fact, I would rather listen to William Hung than anyone who has ever been in the finals of American Idol. At least with William Hung you're hearing a style that you haven't heard 100,000 times already.
However, I don't get to choose American Idol winners. They are chosen by poll. So, to suggest that it is racist is not really a suggestion that the show or the process is racist, but that the country is racist.
And there are those who will argue this position, but they are also idiots. I can say this with conviction because last year's winner was black. Also, although these three black women ended up in the "bottom three" of the latest votes, the remaining contestants are three blacks, two whites and a Pacific-Islander. So if there's any racism going on, it's racism against whites.
So, let's look at the statistical rundown, for those race-baiters among you who managed to finish high school math. For the others, please consult someone isn't an idiot for help in translating:
Percentage of America that is black: 12% Percentage of America that is white: 72% Percentage of America that is Asian: 4%
Percentage of American Idol winners who are black: 33% Percentage of contestants remaining who are black: 50% Percentage of contestants remaining who are white: 33% Percentage of contestants remaining who are Asian (Pacific-Islander): 17%
So Elton, go back to England and take some more socialized education classes, or brush up on your leftist ideology a bit, or do something that gets you out of our faces with your facile, pathetic allegations.
If you're not as familiar with World War II as I am, take a look at this page to learn about Zyklon B. In short, the gas that the Nazis used in World War II to kill Jews was Zyklon B.
"Bush has conjured his favorite bogeymen--'activist judges' and renegade bureaucrats-to create a Constitutional crisis." That's how the Los Angeles Times editorialized when the President reacted to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's unilateral decision to start marrying homosexuals, launching a national same-sex marriage revolution. Enlightened people know there's no such bogeyman as an activist judge or renegade bureaucrat, right?
Except maybe down in Montgomery, Alabama, come to think of it. When Chief Justice Roy Moore of the Alabama Supreme Court tried to launch a little social movement of his own by installing a modest monument to the Ten Commandments in the courthouse rotunda, liberal reporters and editorialists didn't hesitate to portray him as a dangerous runaway judge, an underminer of the rule of law, a threat to the entire republic.
The Washington Post called Moore a "scofflaw...a man who feels free to ignore the Constitutionally designated system by which law is interpreted in a democratic society." The Los Angeles Times denounced Moore's "evangelical sideshow outside the Montgomery courthouse." The New York Times editorial page insisted that "Moore lacks the most basic requirement for judicial office: respect for the rule of law."
Yet when Judge Moore's kindred spirit in San Francisco, Mayor Gavin Newsom, decided to break the law rather than uphold it-by issuing bogus marriage licenses to same-sex couples-the media tones and personal characterizations were very different. No references in the L.A. Times to Newsom's "homosexual sideshow outside San Francisco City Hall." Rather, the descriptions were of a "provocative decision" that might "advance the rights of gays and lesbians."

Conservatives don't trust the "mainstream" press because they have proven, time and again, that they can't be trusted.
France, opponent of the war on Iraq due in no small part to having a lot of money invested there, and also due in no small part to the corrupt officials in the French government who took oil bribes from Saddam, now says the US mounted a "racist campaign" against it.
First, you stuffy-nosed twit, you're white. We're mostly white. And Fox News is the whitest of all. So your contention that we levied a "racist campaign" against you is ludicrous, and only a pathetic moron from France could come up with that argument.
Secondly, your country deserves the scorn we levy against it. You stood in defense of a murderer and a tyrant for cash payments. So go stick your fat noses back in the Bordeaux fields and make us some more wine, and leave the big-time politics to people who aren't cast-iron idiots.
Those trying to understand what is going on in Iraq could learn a lot by searching the web for "Iraqi blogs". Here you can read about what's going on over there without having your news filtered through biased news organizations. You might be suprised.
Let's look at "Iraq at a Glance", for example. This bloggers latest entry discusses who Al-Sadr really is. Essentially, he's a thug, who leads a band of thieves and murderers because he promises them a life without rules.
"Surely you’re watching what’s happening now in some neighborhoods in Iraq.. let me explain something about this militia.. ( you’ll never hear a similar explanation in any TV channel or radio stations… but this is the truth and the real picture of Muqtada’s group).. First of all: That angry dumb and silly boy is not respected by many religious leaders here in Iraq and consider him as a child , he don’t have the right to be a religious leader and he don’t have any ‘logical and legislative Islamic studies’ regarding Islam and ‘Sharia’.. Second.. that foolish boy has many thieves following him.. why? Do you know that neighborhood ‘ Althawra’ or ‘ Al-Sadr city’ in Baghdad? This is the worst place in Iraq.. yes .. all Iraqis hate that place and never ever reach there.. More than 75% of this neighborhood are thieves and murders .. they are responsible for the looting and robbery acts last year.. and of course due to their rapid and uncontrolled reproduction ( just like the rabbits) ,they have many relatives in some neighborhoods in Iraq, so when they felt that Muqtada is so permissive and may encourage such robberies; they followed him.. they love him.. they feel that he’s one of them and his laws are very compatible with their disgusting thoughts and mean goals.."
But better yet, search the web for more Iraqi blogs. I think you'll be suprised, not only by what ordinary Iraqis have to say, but also what our media doesn't have to say...
An interesting story, from Front Page Magazine (link ), detailing how the "Oil for Food" program rapidly became the "Oil Money for the UN, France and Russia" program.
My question, however, is why do I have to go to a conservative newspaper to read this? This scandal is probably going to turn out to be the biggest example of corruption in the history of the world, and involves the UN at its core. Why is our press utterly failing to cover this?
Also, I'm waiting for the massive demonstrations, the ones that accused the United States of killing millions of people with economic sanctions, to begin again, this time against the UN. The UN is clearly culpable for the massive loss of life under the Saddam regime, first for failing to support his removal and later for the corruption that allowed this program to be totally co-opted by Saddam. The UN is clearly responsible here, as are France and Russia. When will the protests start? When will the compassionate people stand up against this crime?
